Lonetree Authentic Dry "Cider Can Chicken"

Prep Time: 10 mins

Cook Time: 1 hour

Makes for 2 servings

Ingredients

1 Whole Chicken

2 Sprigs Fresh Thyme

1 Tbsp Vegetable Oil

2 tsp Salt

3 tsp Smoked Paprika

2 ½ tsp Garlic Powder

2 ½ tsp Onion Powder

1 Can Lonetree Authentic Dry Cider

Method

Slide your finger between the chicken breast and skin, carefully making room for your thyme. Push the herbs down so they cover the breast.

Place chicken on a sheet tray and coat it with oil. Next, season with salt on and inside the chicken. In a small bowl, mix paprika, garlic powder and onion powder and then evenly coat chicken with it.

Open a can of Lonetree Authentic Dry Cider, take a few sips out and slide chicken over the top allowing the chicken to be standing up on the tray.

Pre-heated barbecue on High tell its about 500 degrees. Place tray and chicken in the middle of the bbq and turn off the middle burners and the side burners to med and shut the lid. It will take 35-45 mins to cook depending on the size if your chicken. Carefully take off the heat and allow to rest on the can for about 20 mins before you cut or serve.
